Date: Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30 

Due to the detection of West Nile virus and the high numbers of mosquitoes in Martinez and the high numbers of mosquitoes in Pittsburg, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes on Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30 in the following areas:

Area 1: Pittsburg

The area to be treated is bordered on the north by Highway 4; on the east by Dover Way and Orinda Circle; on the south by Delta View Golf Club property; and on the west by Sugartree Drive and Santa Maria Drive.

This area will be fogged October 29 between 6:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. as well as on October 30 between midnight and 4:30 a.m., weather permitting.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer.

Area 2: Pittsburg

The area to be treated is bordered on the north by West Leland Road; on the east by Woodhill Drive; on the south by Hanauma Bay Drive; and on the west by West Barranca Drive.

This area will be fogged October 29 between 6:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. as well as on October 30 between midnight and 4:30 a.m., weather permitting.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer.

Area 3: Martinez (Waterfront)

The area to be treated is bordered on the north by Carquinez Strait; on the east by Pacheco Creek; on the south by Marina Vista Avenue and Waterfront Road; and on the west by Carquinez Scenic Drive.

This area will be fogged October 30 between the hours of 4:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., weather permitting.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer.

Due to high number of mosquitoes in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes on the evening of Monday, October 26, 2015 in the following areas between 6:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., weather permitting:

1. Delta View Golf Club (Pittsburg)

The area to be treated is bordered on the north by West Leland Road; on the east by Orinda Circle; on the south by Delta View Golf Club property: and on the west by John Henry Johnson Parkway (area to be fogged is shaded in purple).

2. Pittsburg

The area to be treated is bordered on the north by West Leland Road; on the west by Tomales Bay Drive; on the east by Southwood Drive; and by Dawnview Court on the south (area to be fogged is shaded in orange).

The insecticide to be used is Pyrcocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume sprayer. This area will be sprayed between 6:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., weather permitting.

3. Pittsburg and Bay Point

The area to be treated is bordered on the north by the Union Pacific Railroad; on the west by Port Chicago Highway and Balclutha Way ;on the east by Range Road; and by Willow Pass Road and Polaris Drive on the south.

The insecticide to be used is Pycocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume sprayer. This area will be sprayed between 6:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Due to high number of mosquitoes and the detection of West Nile Virus in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes on the evening of Tuesday, October 20, 2015, between 6:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., weather permitting in the following area:

Martinez Waterfront

The area to be treated is bordered on the north by Carquinez Strait; on the east by Pacheco Creek; on the south by Marina Vista Avenue and Waterfront Road; and on the west by Carquinez Scenic Drive.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer.

Due to high number of mosquitoes and the detection of West Nile virus in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck and all-terrain vehicle (ATV) to control adult mosquitoes on the evening of Thursday, October 15, 2015 between 7:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., weather permitting, in the following area:

Pittsburg

The area to be treated is bordered on the north by Highway 4; on the east by Dover Way and Orinda Circle; on the south by Delta View Golf Club property; and on the west by Sugartree Drive and Santa Maria Drive (area to be treated is highlighted in pink).

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck and all-terrain vehicle (ATV) mounted ultra low volume sprayer.

Due to high number of mosquitoes in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck and all-terrain vehicle (ATV) to control adult mosquitoes. on the evening of October 7, 2015 between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., weather permitting in the following area:.

Pittsburg (Delta View Golf Club)

While West Nile virus has not been detected in this area this year so far, high populations of the adult Culex tarsalis mosquito, a known West Nile virus transmitter, have been detected in this area.

The area to be treated is bordered on the north by West Leland Road; on the east by Orinda Circle; on the south by Delta View Golf Club property; and on the west by John Henry Johnson Parkway (area to be fogged is shown in purple).

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck and all-terrain vehicle (ATV) mounted ultra low volume sprayers.

Due to the high numbers of mosquitoes and the detection of West Nile virus in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes on the evening of October 1, 2015 between 6:50 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., weather permitting, in the following area:

Oakley

The area to be treated is bordered on the north by Fetzer Lane and Monet Drive; on the east by Merganser Drive; on the south by West Cypress Road and East Cypress Road; and on the west by O'Hara Ave and Soda Rock Place (area to be fogged is highlighted in orange).

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck-mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer.

Due to the high number of mosquitoes and the detection of West Nile virus in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes on the morning of Friday, September 25, 2015 between the hours of 6:00 a.m.  and 9:00 a.m. in the following area,weather permitting:

Antioch

The area to be treated is bordered on the east by Cavallo Road; on the west by A Street; on the north by Wilbur Avenue; and on the south by 18th Street (area to be fogged is in purple).

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer.

Agricultural Land East of Discovery Bay

The area to be treated is bordered on the east by Byron Tract Agricultural Land; on the west by Channel Drive and Cherry Hills Drive; on the north by Middle River; and on the south by Wayfarer Drive and Highway 4 (area to be fogged is shown in red).

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer.

Oakley

The area to be treated is bordered on the north by Fetzer Lane and Monet Drive; on the east by Picasso Drive; on the south by West Cypress Road; and on the west by Jordan Lane, 4th Street, and Orchard Park Drive.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer. This area will be fogged between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., weather permitting.

The area to be treated is bordered on the north by Carquinez Strait; on the east by Pacheco Creek; on the south by Marina Vista Avenue and Waterfront Road; and on the west by Carquinez Scenic Drive.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume sprayer. This area will be sprayed between 4:30 am and 6:30 am., weather permitting.

Due to the high number of mosquitoes and the detection of West Nile virus in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District fogged by truck to control adult mosquitoes on the morning of Wednesday, August 12, 2015.

BRENTWOOD

The area treated is bordered on the north by a levee road; on the east by Holland Tract Road; on the south by Holland Tract Road; and on the west by a levee road.

The insecticide used was Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck-mounted, ultra low volume sprayer. The area was fogged between the hours of 4:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.

The area treated is bordered by Allagash Court and Sonnet Court on the east; by Sycamore Drive on the west; by East Cypress Road on the north: and by Harborage Court and Harborage Way on the south.

The insecticide used was Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer. This area was fogged between the hours of 8:40 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
