Due to high number of mosquitoes in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes on the morning of November 7th, 2014 in the following areas between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., weather permitting:

Area One: Pittsburg

The area to be fogged is bordered by Highway 4 on the north; Dover Way and Orinda Circle on the east; Sunnyhill Way on the south; and Jacqueline Drive on the west.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer.

Area Two: Pittsburg Waterfront

The area to be treated is bordered by Harbor Street and Riverway Drive on the east; by Linda Vista Avenue and Riverview Park Drive on the west; by Riverview Park Drive, Pelican Court Marina Boulevard and Edgewater Place on the north; and by 8th Street on the south.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer.

Area Three: Bay Point

The area to be treated is bordered by Summer Way on the east; by Willow Pass Road on the west; by Suisun Avenue, Pullman Ave and Summer Way on the north; and by Pacifica Avenue on the south.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer.

Due to high number of mosquitoes in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes on the evening of Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in the following area between the hours of 6:15 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., weather permitting:

Area 1: Martinez Waterfront:

The area to be treated is bordered by Pacheco Creek on the east; Carquinez Scenic Drive on the west; Carquinez Strait on the north; and Marina Vista Avenue and Waterfront Road on the south.

The insecticide to be used is Scourge applied at a rate of 1.5 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume sprayer.

Due to high number of mosquitoes and the presence of West Nile Virus in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes on the evening of Tuesday, October 21st, 2014 in the following area between the hours of 6:15 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., weather permitting:

Area 2: Pittsburg Waterfront:

The area to be treated is bordered by Harbor Street on the east; by PG&E access roads on the west; by Riverview Parkway and Pelican Court; by West 10 th Street, Charleston Street, Scudero Court, West Santa Fe Avenue and East 10th Street on the north and on the south.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume sprayer.

Due to high number of mosquitoes in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes on the evening of Tuesday, October 21st, 2014 in the following area between the hours of 6:15 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., weather permitting:

Area 3: Bay Point:

The area to be treated is bordered by Port Chicago Highway on the east; by Nichols Road on the west; by Port Chicago Highway on the north; and by Pacifica Avenue on the south.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume sprayer.

Martinez - Waterfront

The area to be treated is bordered by Pacheco Creek on the east; by Carquinez Scenic Drive on the west; by The Carquinez Strait on the north; and by Marina Vista Avenue and Waterfront Road on the south.

Bethel Island

The area to be treated is bordered on the east by Sandmound Boulevard, N Stone Road and Riverview Drive; on the west by Bethel Island Road and Jersey Island Road; on the north by Willow Road; and on the south by Harborage Court.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer.

The area to be treated is bordered by Old River on the east; by unincorporated agricultural land access roads on the west; by Indian Slough on the north; and by unincorporated agricultural land access roads on the south.

The area to be treated is bordered by Old River on the east; by unincorporated agricultural land access roads on the west; by Indian Slough on the north; and by unincorporated agricultural access roads on the south.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume sprayer.

The area to be treated is bordered on the east by Channel Drive and Cherry Hills Drive; on the west by unincorporated agricultural land access roads; on the north by Point of Timber Road and Edge View Drive; and on the south by Highway 4.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume sprayer. This area will be sprayed between the hours of 7:45 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Due to high number of mosquitoes and the detection of West Nile Virus in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes on the evening of August 19, 2014 in the following area:

Concord

The area to be treated is bordered by San Simeon Drive on the east; by Pine Creek and Whitman Road to the north; by Getoun Drive, Brittany Lane and Bethany Lane to the west; and by Treat Boulevard on the southern edge.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 at the rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck-mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer. This area will be fogged between dusk (approximately 8:00 p.m.) and 11:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Due to high numbers of mosquitoes and the detection of West Nile virus in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes on the evening of Thursday, August 14th, 2014 in the following area: 

1. South Discovery Bay area Agricultural Land

The area to be treated is bordered on the east by the San Joaquin River; on the west unincorporated agricultural land access roads; on the north by Highway 4; and on the south by unincorporated agricultural land access roads.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume sprayer. This area will be sprayed between 7:45  p.m and 11:30 p.m., weather permitting.*

* If weather conditions do not permit fogging at this time, fogging will take place on the evening of Friday, August 15th, 2014, from 7:45 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Due to high numbers of high populations of aggressive, day-biting mosquitoes in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes on the morning of Friday, August 15th, 2014 in the following area: 

2. Jersey Island Agricultural Lands and Taylor Road, Bethel Island

The area to be treated is bordered on the east by Bethel Island Road; on the west by Unincorporated agricultural land; on the north by Taylor Road; and on the south by Dutch Slough.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of .75 ounces per acre by truck mounted ultra low volume sprayer. This area will be sprayed between 4:30  a.m and 7:30 a.m., weather permitting.** If weather conditions do not permit fogging at this time, fogging will take place on the morning of Saturday, August 16th, 2014, from 4:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., weather permitting.

Martinez

The area to be treated is bordered on the east by Pacheco Creek; on the west by Ferry Street; on the north by Carquinez Strait; and on the south by Marina Vista Avenue and Waterfront Road.

The insecticide to be used is Scourge applied at a rate of 1.5 ounces per acre by truck-mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer. This area will be sprayed between 4:50 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., weather permitting.

Due to the detection of West Nile virus in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes on Monday, July 21, 2014  in the following area:

Discovery Bay

The area to be treated is bordered on the west by Discovery Bay Boulevard, Clipper Drive, and Newport Drive; on the east by unincorporated agriculture; on the north by Marina Road; and on the south by Highway 4.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 and is applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck-mounted Utrla Low Volume (ULV) sprayer. This area will be fogged between  9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., weather permitting.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 and is applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck-mounted Utrla Low Volume (ULV) sprayer. This area will be fogged between  5:30 a.m and 6:50 a.m., weather permitting.

The area to be treated is bordered on the West by Channel Drive and Cherry Hills Drive; on the east by unincorporated agriculture; on the north by Marina Road; and on the south by Wayfarer Drive and Cherry Hills Road.

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck-mounted Utrla Low Volume (ULV) sprayer. This area will be fogged between  5:30 a.m and 6:50 a.m., weather permitting.

2. Martinez Waterfront

The area to be treated is bordered on the east by Pacheco Creek; on the west by Ferry Street; on the north by Carquinez Strait; and on the south by Marina Vista Avenue and Waterfront Road.

The insecticide to be used is Scourge applied at a rate of 1.5 ounces per acre by truck-mounted ultra low volume (ULV) sprayer. This area will be sprayed between dusk (approximately 8:30 p.m.) and 11:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Martinez Waterfront

The area to be treated is bordered on the east by Pacheco Creek; on the west by Berellesa Street; on the north by Carquinez Strait; and on the south by Marina Vista Avenue and Waterfront Road.

The insecticide to be used is Zenivex E4 RTU applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck-mounted Ultra Low Volume (ULV) sprayer. The area will be fogged between 4:30 a.m. and 5:50 a.m., weather permitting.

Due to high number of mosquitoes in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by All-Terrain Vehicle to control adult mosquitoes on the morning of Friday, April 18th, 2014 in the following areas:

Bethel Island (two locations): CANCELLED DUE TO HIGH WINDS

The limited areas to be treated are surrounding Park Lane, South of Stone Road (approximately 7 acres).

CANCELLED DUE TO HIGH WINDS: The limited areas to be treated are Wells Lane overgrown drainage ditches and low areas (approximately 5 acres total for two locations).

The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by All-Terrain Vehicle Ultra Low Volume (ULV) sprayer. This area will be fogged between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., weather permitting.
