Due to high number of mosquitoes and the detection of West Nile virus in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes on the evening of Wednesday, October 9, 2013 in the following area:
Martinez Waterfront
The area to be treated is bordered on the east by Pacheco Creek; on the west by Ferry Street; on the north by the Carquinez Strait; and on the south by Marina Vista Avenue and Waterfront Road.
The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck-mounted Ultra Low Volume (ULV) sprayer.This area will be fogged between dusk (approximately 6:40 p.m.) and 11:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Holland Tract
The area to be treated is in the extreme South East corner of Holland Tract, North of Holland Tract Marina, bordering the inland base of the levee.
The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by all-terrain vehicle-mounted Ultra Low Volume (ULV) sprayer. This area will be fogged between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., weather permitting.

The area to be treated is bordered on the north by Wilkins Way ; by Sellers Avenue and abutting orchards on the east; by Armstrong Road and the ECCID Canal to the south ; and Walnut Boulevard and Brentwood Boulevard on the west.
The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 ounces per acre by truck-mounted Ultra Low Volume (ULV) sprayer. This area will be fogged between dusk (approximately 7:50 p.m.) and 11:00 p.m., weather permitting.

The area to be treated is bordered on the north by Point of Timber Road; by Fertado Lane on the west; by Marsh Creek Road on the south, and by Blake Court, Coleridge Way, Frost Way, Wilde Court and Bixler Road combined to form the eastern edge.
The insecticide to be used is Pyrocide 7067 applied at a rate of 0.75 oz./acre by truck-mounted ULV sprayer. This area will be sprayed between dusk (approximately 8:30 p.m.) and 11:00 p.m., weather permitting.

The insecticide to be used is Scourge insecticide, applied at a rate of 1.5 ounces/acre by truck mounted Ultra Low Volume (ULV) sprayer between 5:00 a.m. and 6:20 a.m., weather permitting.
